Tom Clair has had extensive training in natural horsemanship, and is constantly seeking to increase his horse education, knowledge and experience.
Tom is a certified John & Josh Lyons trainer, completing their Certification Course and has also completed the Accreditation Program through Josh Lyons. Tom has also been invited to, and will participate in, the “Lyons Legacy Master Trainer Course” which is invitation only and offered to only a very few, hand selected applicants. Graduates of the Lyons Legacy Master Trainer Course will have attained the absolute highest level of training currently available.
Additionally, Tom is also a Kenny Harlow certified trainer, completing Kenny's Apprenticeship Program as well as his intensive twelve month, internationally recognized Certification Program, finishing at the top of his class in both of these programs.
Tom has also trained under GaWaNi Pony Boy, attending HTP1 (Horses Teaching People) and HTP2 as well as other Pony Boy ground and mounted clinics.
Additionally Tom has had training with several dressage trainers, riding instructors and also participated in reining seminars and clinics.
Tom enjoys a simple trail ride more than anything else, but other areas that interest him are endurance, competitive trail, and reining.
Tom is a New York City Firefighter and is active in and enjoys martial arts and scuba diving, but mostly his time is spent with horses.
He and his wife, Kerry, live in Otisville, N.Y., along with their five dogs and four horses.
